IBM Cognos Controller 10.4.2 on premise was released on 19 December 2019.   Contact us to arrange an upgrade/ install or training.

The new features improve ease of use and add functionality to Controller Web.  Here is a brief summary of the new features:

Controller Web

The following features are new in Controller Web:

Free forms
In Cognos Controller classic, you use free forms to enter data using Microsoft Excel. Now in Controller Web, you can open free forms that were created in Cognos Controller classic and use them for data entry. The layouts and most of the formulas work the same as in Cognos Controller classic.
Multiselect companies for actions
In the Submission Overview list, you can select multiple companies and perform actions on them such as lock, unlock, and status change.
Quick access to the company workflow
In the Submission Overview list, you can go to the company workflow for a company with one mouse click. Previously, you had to select it from the Action menu.
Filter on free forms or standard forms
On the Populate tab, you can filter the list of forms by free forms or standard forms.

Cognos Controller classic

The following features are new in Cognos Controller classic.

Active Directory authentication
You can use Active Directory authentication for single sign-on instead of IBM Cognos Analytics.
Faster rendering of standard reports using IBM Cognos Controller Embedded Report Library
In the past, you needed Cognos Analytics to view the standard reports. The Cognos Controller Embedded Report Library is an optional alternative to Cognos Analytics for viewing the standard reports.
If you want to use the Cognos Controller Embedded Report Library to view the standard reports, you must select the Controller Reports component when you install Cognos Controller.
Delete staging tables records
You can delete records from the staging tables based on how old they are.
